Frequently asked questions
My hands are not grabbing the pieces.
- Make sure hand tracking is turned on in the headset: Settings → Movement tracking → Hand and body tracking. Then put the controllers down; the app switches to hands after a moment.
- Grab with a pinch (thumb and index finger together) while your hand is on the piece. To pull a piece from a distance, point at it and pinch.
- Good light helps a lot. Tracking also struggles with gloves, very dark sleeves or hands held too close to your face.
- If one hand works and the other does not, move both hands clearly in front of you for a second so the headset finds them again.
- You can always continue with controllers: pick one up and it is active immediately. The in-app Help panel lists every button.
The puzzle floats in the air; my table is not detected.
- Wonderpieces places the puzzle on the table defined in your headset's Space setup. Open Settings → Physical Space → Space setup and add or redo your table (the "Table" furniture type). Then restart the app.
- If you do not want to scan your table, you can still play: grab the tray and move it to where your table is (hold with two hands to resize it), or switch to World or Desk mode from the Home panel, where the puzzle sits on its own stand.
- Very reflective, glass or black tables are hard for the headset to scan; a cloth on the table helps.
I bought a pack but its puzzles are locked again.
- Connect the headset to the internet and close and reopen Wonderpieces. On every start the app asks the Meta Horizon Store which packs you own and unlocks them automatically; there is no separate "restore" button to press. The 20 base puzzles are part of the app itself and are never locked behind a purchase.
- Check that you are signed in to the same Meta account that made the purchase (purchases belong to the account, not the headset).
- If the unlock still does not appear after a minute online, check the order in the Meta Horizon app under Settings → Purchase history, then write to us with the order date.
How do I change the language?
Open the Home panel (the shelf where you choose puzzles) and use the Language button. The app starts in your headset's language the first time and remembers your choice afterwards.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases are handled by Meta, so refunds follow Meta's refund policy. Request one in the Meta Horizon app or at meta.com: Settings → Purchase history → the item → Request refund. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but if something in the app is not working for you, please tell us first; we would love to fix it.
Can I play sitting down? Is it comfortable?
Yes. Wonderpieces is rated Comfortable: you stay in place, the puzzle is within arm's reach, and there is no artificial movement. Sitting at your table is the way we play it most. You can also play standing. Adjust the tray height by grabbing it.
Is my progress saved? What if I take the headset off?
Progress is saved on the headset automatically every time a piece snaps into place, and when you leave. If you take the headset off or open the system menu, the puzzle pauses and waits for you. Uninstalling the app deletes its local save.
What is included, and what is sold separately?
Wonderpieces is a paid app that includes all 20 puzzles in every difficulty and mode. If you would like to play before deciding, use the free trial on the store page (Meta's Try Before You Buy). Themed packs with new puzzle worlds are sold separately as add-ons. New pack worlds are offered regularly in the in-app showcase, and you can keep one of the weekly picks for free. There are no subscriptions, ads or consumables.
Which headsets are supported?
Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. The app uses colour passthrough and hand tracking, and also works with Touch controllers.
Does the app collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, analytics or ads, and camera images never leave the headset. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
